Arden received her MSW at Hunter College School of Social Work. Her post master training was at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in Manhattan where she received two Certificates, one in Comprehensive Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and Supervision of Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
One of her passions is working with Teens and their Families. She is the author of
What Do You Expect? She's A Teenager!. Her daughter Samara, a grown
adult, was the inspiration for her book. She loves working with dancers, athletes, LGBTQ youth and couples.
She is an Eating Disorder, Body Image Specialist who works with individuals and groups
struggling with BED, Anorexia and Bulimia and Body Dysmorphia. She is a member of the Rockland Jewish Family Service's Eating Disorder Task Force, NEDA, IAEDP. As a former adjunct professor at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill NY, she conceived and taught the Introduction of Eating Disorders, The Treatment of Eating Disorders,
as well as the Eating Disorder specialist Certification Courses for IAEDP, and The Psychology of Women for four years.
Arden is a former President of the NYS Society of Clinical Social Workers Rockland Chapter, a Fellow of NASW, Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, a Member of SAG/AFTRA and the School of American Ballet. She is a member of the Women's Networking Group, LEXCI.
She has appeared on National and Local TV, Radio, Cable, Digital, Newsprint for well over 25 years and featured in Family Circle, Better Homes and Gardens and Ladies Home Journal publications.
Arden maintains her 38 years "young" private practice on the Westside of Manhattan and has a home based practice in New City, N.Y. She's an avid nature walker, mindful meditator, and works it out with Pilates, Yoga, Tennis and Dance.
She is in the midst of meeting and interviewing dancers and choreographers for her current joyful passion, Dance, and you can catch her blogging extensively on that end.
